Job Description

     

    1. Identify manufacturing needs for new products in development
    2. Design new systems and processes and provide facilities & methods to ensure the cost effective integration of new products or for the improvement of existing ones into manufacturing operations
    3. Assist with shop floor layout and cell designs
    4. Design fixtures and tooling for assembly tasks
    5. Generating production documentation such as assembly instructions
    6. Reduce variability in manufacturing by providing standard work methods and work instructions
    7. Ensure product and process quality meets specifications required
    8. Support the tender process for equipment to ensure the best quality for best price
    9. Oversee installation of machinery and equipment
    10. Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements and equipment layout
    11. Remove waste from the processes
    12. Organize plant start-up and shut-down schedules to ensure minimum loss of production time
    13. Carry out FMEAs, (Failure Mode Effects Analysis) process documentation and implement improvements
    14. Produce written reports and make presentations
    15. Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
